Wrapped MistCoin

Wrapped MistCoin (WMC) is an Ethereum token that was introduced in July 2022 as a wrapper for MistCoin, one of the first tokens deployed on the Ethereum blockchain in 2015. The original MistCoin was created as an experiment to test the concept of standardised token creation, laying the foundation for the ERC-20 token standard. Wrapped MistCoin (WMC) enhances the functionality of MistCoin by adding compatibility with modern ERC-20 token features.

The wrapper allows MistCoin holders to convert their tokens into WMC, making it possible to trade and interact with the token on decentralised exchanges like Uniswap. This wrapped version adheres fully to the ERC-20 standard, expanding the usability of the historic MistCoin in the current Ethereum ecosystem.
