Volatility: What It Means In Crypto Markets

Volatility has an outsized role in crypto markets, and yet the nuances in its calculation and interpretation are relatively underexplored. In this note we look at what volatility is and what it isn’t. We also explore the outlook for what is to some investors a barrier to the asset group, and for others a strong advantage.
