Raise, Race and Glory with Derby Stars: The Blockbuster Horse Racing Game You've Been Waiting For
Bridging the gap between high-octane gaming and Web3, Derby Stars offers a high-quality virtual horse breeding and racing title for everyone.

Although non-fungible token (NFT)-based games are not exactly a new concept, most of them offer a simple gaming experience. More so, the prerequisite of owning NFTs has prevented many gaming enthusiasts from engaging in Web3 games.
Not anymore. Derby Stars, a new NFT-powered horse racing game, is set to change this all. One of the first games to do so, Derby Stars brings together superior graphics, free-to-play gameplay, strategic systems and earning potential – all backed by NFTs and rewards.
What is Derby Stars?
Winning Derby Stars is not just about owning horse collections.
At its heart, Derby Stars is a horse raising, racing and breeding game. Players can own, raise, train, race and breed horses within the game. The game has single player mode (training mode) to raise horses strategically through a training goal system with NPCs (non-player characters) and can later start playing multiplayer mode to compete with other real gamers.
Users can prepare, engage and be a part of the multiplayer mode races that take place in each season. These virtual horses are essentially NFTs with various skills, stats and talents assigned to them. As players acquire more horses and win more games, the value and prestige of their horses also increases. Therefore, players can have a diverse collection of horses for their playback strategy.

The game requires strategic breeding and training of horses, and both activities may impact the chance of winning a race. Only through training can players obtain specialized gear known as “Core,” which is used during the horse race, to improve aspects like speed. The training process, results and other details of each NFT horse are stored on the blockchain, enabling players to leverage these variables and receive various incentives, such as higher breeding fees and increased valuation.

The in-game currency consists of two tokens: $RUN and $CRT.
$RUN is the governance token of Derby Stars, with a fixed maximum supply of 500 million tokens. Players can obtain it through multiplayer mode competition and use it for crafting and breeding.
$CRT is the utility token to sustain in-game economy and it’s earned through single player mode for raising and breeding horses, but has no maximum supply.
What makes Derby Stars unique?
The first unique thing about Derby Stars is that players do not need to purchase the NFT to engage in a horse-racing game. Instead, new users can rent NFTs from existing players for free. Anything won in the game with a loaned horse, though, must be shared with the lender.

In this way, the game offers a new system for beginners and experienced players alike. While beginners can get a taste of the horse racing tournaments via multiplayer mode for free, existing NFT owners have a passive way to earn rewards. More importantly, the system can attract casual players into Derby Stars and influence the adoption rates of NFTs.
Powered by Polygon Blockchain, Derby Stars is also optimized for native gaming, with accessibility to play via Windows and MacOS. A mobile version is expected to launch in Q4.
Exemplary graphics performance
Unlike the many previous NFT-based games, Derby Stars packs impressive graphics resources at each stage of the game. Whether players are breeding or racing horses, the visual aspect alone improves the gaming experience.

Impressive visuals are essential for attracting gaming enthusiasts to the world of Web3, and Derby Stars’ graphics can easily be compared to other AAA gaming titles on the market.
Spirited community
Derby Stars wanted to build a thriving ecosystem where players could enjoy, interact and benefit within the Derby metaverse. This direction is often led by the feedback and input given by the community. With well over 70,000 Twitter followers and 44,000 Discord members at the time of this writing, the game’s increasing fanbase is always eager to play and help other community gamers. The developer team used an early access period to get input and suggestions from users, releasing an even better and power-packed alpha version. If you want to play together and be a part of an enthusiastic community, then Derby Stars is the place to be.
After a successful early access launch that wrapped in March 2023, the developers are excited about the alpha version release, which will be available for gamers and NFT collectors across the globe on August 7.
Wrapping up
With a strong community, an emphasis on graphics and sound, constant updates of new features, play-to-earn models, NFTs and Polygon’s support, Derby Stars is going to make incredible waves as time goes on.
Whether you enjoy playing casually or consider yourself a hardcore gamer, this unique horse racing game can ignite people’s participation in the NFT gaming space. To join this unique gaming experience, pre-register and mark August 7 for the official game launch!
