Will Regulation Go Too Far in the Wake of Crypto Winter?
Until this year’s massive correction in token prices, industry leaders could argue less regulation on cryptocurrency would allow more innovation. However, recent losses have ultimately led to a balance in favor of regulators. This week, Tornado Cash, an Ethereum-based smart contract program that mixes ether payments to hide users’ tracks, was added to the U.S. OFAC SDN list, prohibiting Americans from using the platform.
