Michael Bodman

Michael Bodman is a lecturer in economics and finance at the Anderson College of Business and Computing of Regis University. He is also the founder and president of an investment company specializing in blockchain technology and digital assets named Open Source Ventures, based in Denver, Colorado. His thesis is that blockchain represents a new computing platform and investable asset class that is developing a better internet and a digital economic system with a more level playing field than traditional socio-economic systems. He conducts economic and financial research and invests in blockchain solutions that transform traditional industries via open, decentralized and permissionless software. Previously he served as an economic policy officer in the Office of International Aviation of the U.S. Department of Transportation, and served overseas in the U.S. Peace Corps in northern Thailand.
