At the South Carolina Democratic Party Candidates Dinner, just over a week before super Tuesday, the remaining Democratic presidential candidates tried to sell the room of over 300 people on why they were the best choice for their vote. Biden would eventually go onto win the primary, trouncing second-place finisher Bernie Sanders. The endorsement of House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, who was seated front and center of the dinner, went a long way towards securing Biden's victory. While the candidates spoke about electability and climate change, voters at the cocktail hour prior expressed reservations about tech taking a backseat in these conversations, the security risks of a coin like Libra, and concern that Congress is consistently lagging behind when it comes to even understanding technological developments."
