Ang Kumpanya ng Bitcoin Bakkt ay Ginawaran ng BitLicense sa New York
Ang subsidiary na nakatuon sa bitcoin ng Intercontinental Exchange ay ginawaran ng parehong virtual currency at mga lisensya ng money transmitter.
Bakkt, ang Bitcoin-nakatutok na subsidiary ng Intercontinental Exchange, ay ginawaran ng tinatawag na BitLicense ng New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS).

- Ayon sa isang anunsyo mula sa DFS Superintendent Linda Lacewell noong Huwebes, ang lisensya ng virtual na pera ay magbibigay-daan sa Bakkt Marketplace, isang buong pag-aari na subsidiary ng Bakkt Holdings, na mag-alok sa mga customer nito sa New York ng kakayahang bumili at magbenta ng mga digital na pera.
- Ang kompanya ay nabigyan din ng lisensya ng money transmitter. Dinadala ng mga lisensya ang Bakkt sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng DFS para sa mga lisensyadong aktibidad nito.
- "Ang pag-apruba na ito ay nagbibigay ng karagdagang mga pagpipilian sa virtual na pera sa mga New Yorkers habang ang estado ay patuloy na muling itinayo at bumabawi," sabi ni Lacewell.
