Emily Parker était la directrice exécutive du contenu mondial chez CoinDesk. Auparavant, Emily était membre du personnel de la planification politique au Département d'État américain, où elle conseillait sur la liberté d'Internet et la diplomatie numérique. Emily a été rédactrice/éditrice au Wall Street Journal et éditrice au New York Times. Elle est cofondatrice de LongHash, une startup blockchain axée sur les marchés asiatiques.

Elle est l'auteure de « Now I Know Who My Comrades Are : Voices From the Internet Underground » (Farrar, Straus & Giroux). Le livre raconte les histoires d'activistes d'Internet en Chine, à Cuba et en Russie.
