Alkimi is a blockchain advertising exchange built on Sui to replace opaque and costly intermediaries in digital media with a transparent, revenue-sharing system. Its token, ALKIMI, captures value from protocol fees and early payment financing, rewarding stakers with real yield tied to advertising transactions. The protocol introduces AdFi, enabling publishers to access liquidity instantly and advertisers to benefit from lower costs and transparency. Founded by Ben Putley and Adam Chorley, Alkimi has secured partnerships with global brands and processes millions of daily impressions while scaling toward billions.

Alkimi is a blockchain-based advertising exchange built to address inefficiencies in the global digital advertising market, valued at over 750 billion dollars annually. Traditional advertising systems involve multiple intermediaries that absorb up to 40 percent of advertising spend, create opaque fee structures, and delay publisher payments for 90 to 120 days. Alkimi replaces this with an on-chain marketplace that delivers transparency, reduces costs, and ensures faster payments.

The protocol runs on the Sui blockchain to take advantage of its sub-second finality, scalability, and decentralised storage. This infrastructure allows Alkimi to process tens of millions of ad impressions daily, with capacity for billions annually. The design introduces AdFi, short for Advertising Finance, which transforms advertising cash flows into programmable financial instruments. By combining DeFi with advertising, Alkimi enables publishers to receive instant liquidity, advertisers to reduce reconciliation costs, and token holders to capture sustainable yields generated by real transactions.

Partnerships with major brands such as Coca-Cola, Publicis, Kraken, IPG, and Fox demonstrate that the system is already bridging traditional advertising with decentralised finance.

ALKIMI is the native token of the Alkimi ecosystem. Its value is directly linked to advertising revenue processed through the protocol, making it distinct from tokens that rely on inflationary emissions. The token captures revenue from multiple streams, including:

  • Protocol fees ranging from 3 to 8 percent on every ad transaction, varying by medium such as display, video, or connected TV.
  • Early payment fees of up to 15 percent when publishers choose instant liquidity through AdFi.
  • Systematic buybacks funded by revenue, which distribute value to token holders and reinforce ecosystem sustainability.

Holders can stake ALKIMI to earn a share of protocol and financing fees. The staking system offers flexible and locked options, with bonuses for longer commitments. For example, staking for twelve months adds a 12 percent bonus allocation on top of earned fees. Rewards are not based on token inflation but on real revenue from advertising transactions.

Alkimi was founded in 2021 by a team of advertising and blockchain specialists. The project is led by Ben Putley, who has experience in programmatic advertising and digital media. The leadership also includes Adam Chorley, who brings expertise in commercial strategy and partnerships.

Alkimi integrates deeply with Sui’s technology stack:

  • Blockchain layer: Sub-second consensus ensures auction settlement and impression tracking within the strict time windows required for real-time bidding.
  • Decentralised storage (Walrus): Handles data at scale, with capacity for billions of impressions per year while remaining cost-effective and secure.
  • Trusted execution environments (Nautilus): Provide independent validation of ad impressions and reconciliation of financial data, reducing disputes.
  • Encryption and confidentiality (Seal): Protect sensitive metadata while keeping transactions verifiable on chain.

The AdFi system functions as a decentralised lending and settlement market. Publishers receive upfront payment for verified ad revenue through smart contracts, advertisers retain their preferred payment terms, and liquidity providers earn yield. This creates a reinforcing cycle: more publishers drive higher advertiser demand, which increases transaction volume, protocol fees, and buybacks, further rewarding token holders.
