Aspecta (ASP) is a blockchain infrastructure token designed to bring liquidity and transparent pricing to illiquid or locked assets through its BuildKey and Aspecta ID protocols. BuildKey converts restricted assets into tradable ERC‑20–like tokens, while Aspecta ID establishes reputation profiles for developers and projects using AI‑driven attestations. Incubated at Yale’s Tsai CITY in 2022 and backed by a diverse founding team including ex‑Tinder scientist Steve Liu, the project launched through Binance’s MVB accelerator and now supports broad ecosystem integration.

Aspecta (ASP) is a blockchain infrastructure token designed to bring price transparency and liquidity to traditionally illiquid or locked assets—such as pre‑TGE shares, private equity, vesting tokens, and real‑world assets. It achieves this through two core tools:

BuildKey: Standardizes illiquid assets into tradable ERC‑20–like “credentials,” enabling on‑chain trading via AMMs, order books, or auctions, and facilitating seamless transitions through asset lifecycle stages. Aspecta ID (Build Attestation): An AI‑powered reputation system that issues credibility scores based on GitHub activity, on‑chain behavior, and other profiles—allowing projects and developers to signal trustworthiness even in opaque markets.

Creating liquidity for restricted assets by transforming them into tradable tokens through BuildKey. Enabling open price discovery on-chain for assets lacking transparent valuation. Building reputational trust for developers and projects via Aspecta ID, which aggregates activity across GitHub and on-chain data. Establishing a feedback loop: Asset trades inform developer reputation, which in turn enhances liquidity and credibility of future issued assets.

Aspecta was incubated at Yale University's Tsai CITY in 2022. Its founding team includes individuals affiliated with Yale, Tsinghua, Berkeley, and McGill. One notable team member is Steve Liu, a former chief scientist at Tinder and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. The project participated in Binance’s MVB Season 7 accelerator in early 2024 and has forged collaborations with L1/L2 chains and developer communities like Google Developer Groups.
