About CPUcoin
CPUcoin is a decentralised Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform, reducing cloud costs via a sharing economy for unused CPU/GPU power. It supports eco-friendly Web 3, High Definition NFTs, and Generative AI, functioning as the "Airbnb" for computing power. CPUcoin's Computing Global Network (CGN) simplifies managing and scaling applications globally. Catering to miners and organisations, it offers scalable, flexible services like MediaGen, and supports microservices and DeFi applications. The CPUcoin token, used within CGN, streamlines transactions and miner payments. Founded by Sean Barger, known for his work with Tetris and Equilibrium, CPUcoin merges technological innovation with a vision to democratise application development and reduce upfront costs.
CPUcoin is a decentralised Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution designed to reduce cloud infrastructure costs by establishing a sharing economy for unused CPU/GPU power. The project aims to create an eco-friendly way to power Web 3, High Definition NFT capability, and Generative AI, leveraging the extensive development background and investment in its base technology. CPUcoin is conceptualised as the "Airbnb" for CPU/GPU computing power, providing a platform for the automatic deployment and scaling of decentralised services and DApps (Decentralised Applications). CPUcoin's infrastructure, known as the Computing Global Network (CGN), eliminates the complexities and high costs associated with managing and scaling applications on a global scale.
PUcoin's CGN solution is a B2B IaaS offering that serves individual miners and organisations, featuring various elements. The CGN includes decentralised services such as MediaGen, its first dService. It offers scalability, enabling rapid processing with low computational needs, and flexibility with no fixed recurring costs, potentially leading to higher miner yields. The platform is designed for speed, providing enterprise-class, edge-ready services. It also allows miners to potentially optimise their earnings using minimal resources. Additionally, the CGN is adaptable, supporting microservices and decentralised finance (DeFi) applications. The CPUcoin token (CPU) is the cryptocurrency used within the CGN platform, intended for transactions involving computational resources and for miner payments. This token can be installed on devices like personal computers, laptops, and tablets, and is used for consuming services within the CGN. CPUcoin's goal is to offer organisations of various sizes the opportunity to develop scalable client/server applications, potentially reducing upfront infrastructure costs.
