GUNZ

GUNZ (GUN) is the native token of the GUNZ blockchain, a Layer 1 network designed to support gaming and digital asset transactions. The GUNZ blockchain was created by Gunzilla Games to underpin its flagship game, Off the Grid, and other future titles. It operates as an Avalanche subnet using the Subnet-EVM, enabling high-throughput and low-latency transactions tailored for gaming environments.

The GUN token is used to pay for transaction fees on the GUNZ network, including actions such as asset creation, trading, and movement within games. It plays a central role in the token economy developed by Gunzilla Games and its partners.

The GUNZ blockchain integrates a digital asset layer with tools for game developers to build and manage in-game economies without needing blockchain-specific knowledge. It includes SDKs and APIs to manage item minting, player wallets, and marketplace integration.

GUN is used as the utility token within the GUNZ blockchain ecosystem. Its primary functions include:

• Transaction Fees: GUN is used to cover fees for operations on the GUNZ chain, such as minting, trading, or transferring in-game items and NFTs.
• Asset Settlement: In-game purchases and secondary market transactions involving digital assets on GUNZ are settled using GUN.
• Blockchain Governance and Validation: Although initially permissioned, the roadmap includes eventual community involvement through validator staking, where GUN may be used to participate in securing the network.
• Interoperability with Game Systems: GUN underpins smart contract execution and backend logic that supports game mechanics like item drops, ownership verification, and on-chain item stats.

GUNZ was created by Gunzilla Games, a game development studio founded in 2020 by Vlad Korolov. The studio includes experienced developers from companies like Crytek, Ubisoft, and EA. Gunzilla Games developed Off the Grid, a narrative-driven battle royale game, as the first title to use the GUNZ blockchain infrastructure.

The technical implementation of the GUNZ chain was built in collaboration with Ava Labs, leveraging Avalanche's Subnet-EVM framework.
