About MaidSafe Coin
MaidSafeCoin (MAID) is a proxy cryptocurrency that supports the SAFE Network, a decentralised data storage and communications platform prioritising security and privacy. Users will eventually exchange MAID for Safe Network Tokens to engage fully with the network’s ecosystem. The coin and network are developed by MaidSafe, a Scottish company founded by David Irvine.
MaidSafeCoin (EMAID) is an ERC-20 token launched on the Ethereum blockchain as a more accessible and versatile version of the original MaidSafeCoin (MAID), which was issued on the Omni protocol. EMAID allows holders to leverage Ethereum’s robust ecosystem, including access to decentralised exchanges (DEXs) and broader hardware wallet support. It facilitates early participation in the SAFE Network by serving as a bridge to the network’s native Safe Network Tokens.
MaidSafeCoin facilitates access to and participation in the SAFE Network by allowing users to invest early in the platform's ecosystem. Within the SAFE Network, users will be able to:
- Store and retrieve data securely without reliance on centralised servers.
- Communicate privately, with full control over personal information.
- Access decentralised applications (dApps) and services designed for privacy and scalability.
This ecosystem aims to empower users with sovereignty over their digital data while reducing dependency on traditional, centralised systems.
