About Perlin
PERL.eco is a blockchain platform co-founded by Kenta Iwasaki, Ajay Prakash, and Dorjee Sun in 2018, aiming to democratize the biosphere economy by merging Decentralized Finance (DeFi) with biodiversity and carbon credits. The platform allows real-world assets like carbon credits and bioecological assets to be tokenized, contrasting its sibling platform, PerlinX, where users trade and generate synthetic assets collateralized by $PERL. The native token, $PERL, serves as both a liquidity and collateral asset across both platforms. In collaboration with global environmental charities, PERL.eco also leverages non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to fund conservation efforts, bridging the gap between technology and environmental conservation.
PERL.eco is a unique platform aiming to democratize the biosphere economy by integrating the world of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) with biodiversity and carbon credits. Through tokenization, PERL.eco empowers liquidity pools and provides real-world asset backing, such as carbon credits and other bioecological assets. This venture stands as a contrast to its sibling platform, PerlinX, which offers a DeFi interface for trading and synthetic asset generation with $PERL token collateralization.
Co-founded by Kenta Iwasaki, Ajay Prakash, and Dorjee Sun in Singapore, PERL.eco emerged in 2018 with a commitment to making ecological assets more accessible through tokenization. The team promotes a leaderless and community-driven approach to development.
