The platform primarily serves as a peer-to-peer (P2P) NFT marketplace, allowing players to buy, sell, and rent game-related NFTs without custodial interference. PROM also integrates advanced Web3 technology, such as Prom zkEVM, which uses zero-knowledge proofs to optimise transaction efficiency and reduce gas fees, enhancing scalability and security on Ethereum-compatible networks.
The PROM token has multiple functions within the Prom ecosystem:
*Marketplace and Transaction Fees:* PROM is used to cover fees within the NFT marketplace, including transactions, rentals, and other platform services. PROM holders can utilise the token for premium features like promoting rental offers.
*Governance:* As the governance token, PROM enables holders to participate in decision-making processes regarding platform upgrades and game listings or delistings through the Prom DAO.
*Access to Analytics and Management Tools:* PROM tokens allow users to access advanced analytical tools, offering insights into NFT valuations, transaction histories, and user behaviour.
*Native Token on Prom zkEVM:* PROM also functions as the native currency within Prom's Layer 2 solution, Prom zkEVM. This usage supports faster and more cost-efficient transactions across Ethereum-compatible networks.
