Quai Network (QUAI) is a scalable, decentralized blockchain platform utilizing a multi-chain architecture and the Proof-of-Entropy-Minima consensus mechanism to achieve high throughput and security. The QUAI token functions as the network's utility token, facilitating transactions, smart contract operations, and mining rewards.

Quai Network (QUAI) is a scalable, decentralized blockchain platform designed to address the limitations of existing blockchain networks by offering high throughput, low transaction fees, and robust security. It achieves this through a unique multi-chain architecture and an innovative consensus mechanism.

QUAI serves as the primary utility token within the Quai Network ecosystem, facilitating various functions:

  • Gas Fees: Users pay transaction fees in QUAI when executing operations on the network.

  • Smart Contracts: As an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible token, QUAI enables the deployment and execution of smart contracts, supporting decentralized applications (dApps) across diverse sectors, including decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

  • Mining Rewards: Miners receive QUAI tokens as incentives for validating transactions and securing the network.

Quai Network was co-founded by Alan Orwick, Karl Kreder, and Sriram Vishwanath. The trio has prior experience working together at the University of Texas at Austin and Dominant Strategies, a company focused on developing Proof-of-Work scaling solutions.
