About Renzo
Renzo is strategically positioned within the cryptocurrency ecosystem to enhance the utility of Ethereum through liquid restaking and strategic management of staking assets. The platform's design and integration with the EigenLayer protocol facilitate improved yields and participation in Ethereum's growth, while its tokenomics support robust community engagement and governance.
Renzo is a Liquid Restaking Token (LRT) that serves as a Strategy Manager for the EigenLayer protocol. It provides an interface to the EigenLayer ecosystem, which secures Actively Validated Services (AVSs) and offers yields higher than typical ETH staking. Renzo simplifies user interaction with this ecosystem by abstracting the complexities involved in staking and restaking strategies.
Renzo enables users to deposit Ethereum-based assets like native ETH, wBETH, or stETH, and participate in the EigenLayer protocol to earn restaking points and staking rewards. By minting ezETH against these deposits, Renzo facilitates liquidity and immediate participation rewards through a decentralized Ethereum validator infrastructure. This structure supports unrestricted participation in EigenLayer, contributing to the overall security and operability of the Ethereum network.
Renzo also employs a token system—REZ tokens—that are integral to its ecosystem. These tokens are used for governance, enabling holders to vote on proposals that guide the development and operational aspects of the protocol. Furthermore, REZ tokens are distributed through various community engagements and reward mechanisms such as airdrops and staking incentives. The tokenomics of REZ are designed to encourage long-term holding and participation within the Renzo ecosystem, with a vesting schedule that aligns incentives between the developers, investors, and users.
