Rapids Network (RPD) is a decentralized blockchain platform that focuses on integrating widgets into mainstream social media platforms. This integration facilitates the sending and receiving of cryptocurrencies among friends, family, colleagues, and for business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B), and B2B e-commerce transactions. It employs a two-tiered, energy-efficient network that combines a Proof of Stake (PoS) 3.0 protocol for block creation and network security, and a Masternode network for enhanced stability, functionalities, and community-based governance. Rapids Network is officially registered in Estonia as a payment system (License FIU14645841), with an executive team based in the US and the UK. The network plans to support other blockchains in the future to offer social interoperability and scalability to existing public blockchains.
Rapids Coin (RPD) has several ongoing developments and use cases within its ecosystem:
RPDx Token Protocol, Raptic, Rapids Wallet: These are a few of the ongoing products being developed by the Rapids team. Bridge to Binance Smart Chain (BSC): Rapids has set up a bridge with BSC, allowing conversion of Rapids (RPD) to Wrapped RPD (BRPD) for use on BSC dApps. However, the BSC integration into the Rapids Wallet is on hold. RaptureTV: This is under development, and efforts are being made to integrate Raptic for streamers and viewers. RPDx Layer: This includes a software layer for creating and trading custom digital assets and currencies, Defi trading, and games like RPD lotto and NFT raffles. NFT Introduction: Rapids has recruited NFT artists to create in-game NFTs, exploring new marketing opportunities and additional use cases for RPD. Limited Edition Rapids Network NFTs: These NFTs come with utilities related to the Rapids product family and partnerships, offering staking and other unique use cases. Raptic: A multi-platform TipBot, growing in popularity, with a unique Raptic NFT for group owners who integrate Raptic. Rapids Wallet: Features like creating Linkshares with multi-claims, an NFT gallery, dApp integration, staking with instant withdrawals, and more are under development. Rapids Host: A Masternode hosting and Smart staking platform, which will burn 50% of RPD earned from fees.
