Symbiosis Finance (SIS) is a multi-chain liquidity protocol that spans various networks, addressing liquidity fragmentation. It was founded in 2021 by Nick Avramov, It operates on both Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and non-EVM compatible blockchains. SIS serves as the governance token for the Symbiosis DAO and facilitates cross-chain swaps.

The protocol aims to address two critical challenges: liquidity fragmentation across different blockchain networks and enhancing user experience within the DeFi and web3 economy. SIS serves as the governance token for the Symbiosis DAO and DAO Treasury. Additionally, nodes in the Symbiosis relayers network must stake SIS to participate in consensus and facilitate swaps.
