inSure (SURE) is the utility and governance token of a decentralised insurance platform built to safeguard crypto portfolios from risks like scams, devaluations, and theft. It supports policy purchases, staking, claims, and community governance via the inSureDAO.

inSure (SURE) is the native token of the inSure Ecosystem, a decentralised insurance platform designed to protect cryptocurrency portfolios from events such as scams, sharp devaluations, and theft. The ecosystem uses a combination of dynamic pricing, a capital reserve model, and decentralised governance to offer insurance coverage for crypto holders and DeFi participants.

SURE tokens are central to the system’s operation. They are used to purchase insurance policies, stake in the capital and surplus pools, and participate in the inSureDAO voting mechanism that governs the platform. The insurance coverage takes effect after a 7-day waiting period following token placement in a policyholder’s wallet.

SURE tokens serve multiple purposes within the inSure Ecosystem:

  • Purchasing Insurance: Users can acquire insurance policies using cryptocurrencies like ETH, BTC, USDT, and wETH, but must also hold SURE tokens in their wallet. Insurance plans offer protection against portfolio losses due to scams, exchange closures, and sharp devaluations.
  • Staking: SURE can be staked to provide liquidity to the Capital Pool and Surplus Pool. This supports insurance claim payouts and entitles stakers to returns based on platform activity.
  • Claims Processing: Policyholders must stake SURE tokens equivalent to their premium in order to file a claim. Claims are processed via a multi-phase voting system involving community members and selected audit firms.
  • Governance: Token holders can participate in the inSureDAO to vote on protocol changes, claim approvals, and platform development decisions. DAO members can also propose changes and help manage risks.
