Tadpole Finance (TAD) is a decentralised saving and lending platform initially created by Indodax and Tokenomy, and later handed over to the community. TAD is an ERC-20 token used for governance and paying listing fees, which are then burned. The platform operates on the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain networks, allowing open participation in the lending market by accepting various tokens. TAD holders can vote on protocol changes, and the platform offers several reward programs to incentivise user and developer engagement.

Tadpole Finance (TAD) is an open-source decentralised finance (DeFi) platform focused on providing saving and lending services for digital assets. The platform enables users to deposit cryptocurrencies to earn interest or to borrow against them, using an algorithmic money market protocol. Initially deployed on the Ethereum network as ERC-20 tokens, Tadpole Finance later expanded to operate on the Binance Smart Chain network using BEP20 tokens. It allows anyone to register any ERC-20 token into the lending market, where users can deposit or borrow tokens using other assets as collateral.

The TAD token is an ERC-20 utility token used for governance and listing fees within the Tadpole Finance ecosystem. The total supply of TAD is capped at 1,000,000 tokens. TAD holders can participate in governance by voting on updates or proposals related to the platform's development. The platform uses various contracts like cTokens, CErc20, CEther, and the Comptroller to facilitate lending and borrowing while managing risks and interest rates in an automated way.

Tadpole Finance is designed as a decentralised platform for savings and lending, where users can deposit and borrow a wide range of ERC-20 tokens. TAD token plays a central role in this ecosystem, serving two primary purposes:

1. *Governance*: TAD token holders can vote on proposals and changes to the Tadpole Finance protocol, allowing for a community-driven approach to decision-making. 2. *Payment of Listing Fees*: TAD is used to pay fees for listing new ERC-20 tokens on the Tadpole Finance lending platform. Once a listing fee is paid in TAD, those tokens are burned, reducing the total supply of TAD over time.

The Tadpole Finance platform also features different methods for distributing TAD tokens, such as Genesis Mining, Platform Liquidity Mining, and DEX Liquidity Mining. These reward programs incentivise user participation in platform liquidity, both on Tadpole's native interface and decentralised exchanges (DEXs). Additionally, a Developer Rewards program was created to distribute TAD to developers contributing to the platform's open-source code.
