Chia (XCH) is a novel cryptocurrency developed by Chia Network Inc. It diverges from traditional cryptocurrencies in its consensus mechanism, leveraging a method termed "proof of space and time" (PoST) as opposed to more commonly used "proof of work" (PoW) or "proof of stake" (PoS) mechanisms.

The Token The native token of Chia's blockchain, XCH, is a digital asset designed to be used within the Chia ecosystem. It's the compensation for participants, known as "farmers", who help in securing the network by allocating their unused disk space for network use. Farmers are rewarded with XCH tokens in return for their contributions to the network.
