tomiNet

tomiNet is a decentralised, alternative web infrastructure combining Web2 and Web3 technologies. It aims to address privacy, censorship, and centralisation issues by creating a user-governed internet ecosystem. tomiNet leverages traditional web protocols (like TCP/IP and DNS), blockchain technology, and a unique governance structure to ensure that users maintain control over their online activities, data, and identity. Its network uses a decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO), known as the tomiDAO, to manage community standards, regulate content, and oversee the network’s policies in line with community values​.

tomiNet serves as an alternative internet layer focused on privacy, freedom of speech, and decentralised control. Users can access tomiNet through a dedicated browser, which also supports switching between the regular web (WWW) and tomiNet. tomiNet offers:

*Unrestricted Web Access:* Access any website without location-based restrictions. *Digital Identity Management:* Through "tomiPassport," users have self-sovereign identity capabilities, allowing secure logins with selective information sharing. *Content and Business Hosting:* Websites and Web3 applications can operate on tomiNet without the risk of being blocked. *Payments:* A decentralised payment system, "tomiPay," supports TOMI token transactions and other digital assets. *User Governance:* The tomiDAO allows members to participate in network governance, including community guidelines enforcement. tomiNet also utilises the tDNS (a decentralised DNS service), and TOMI tokens provide utility across services like domain registration, voting, and content hosting​.
