Coinbase's Layer 2 Blockchain 'Base' Opens to the Public on Aug. 9

Coinbase (COIN) announced that its layer-2 blockchain named Base will be open to the public next week. Built with Optimism's OP Stack, Base went live for developers in July for testing and users will be able to bridge their ether (ETH) to the blockchain on Thursday.
