UN Food Program to Expand Blockchain Testing to African Supply Chain

The U.N. World Food Programme plans to test blockchain for tracking food delivery in East Africa, following a refugee aid pilot in Jordan.

Relief supplies from the World Food Programme are staged to be loaded onto an MV-22 Osprey at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal, May 14, in order to be delivered to remote locations during Operation Sahayogi Haat. Joint Task Force 505 along with other multinational forces and humanitarian relief organizations are currently in Nepal providing aid after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country, April 25 and a 7.3 earthquake on May 12.
