LooksRare users can buy and sell cryptocurrencies through MoonPay, which will allow users to purchase NFTs with a credit card.

Web3 payments firm MoonPay is teaming up with non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace LooksRare to allow traders to easily purchase cryptocurrency and NFTs on the platform, the companies said Thursday.

MoonPay’s infrastructure aims to help onboard LooksRare customers to Web3 and will offer a suite of products to facilitate efficient transactions. Its "NFT Checkout" allows collectors to purchase NFTs with a debit or credit card without first purchasing cryptocurrency. It will also let MoonPay users purchase LOOKS, the marketplace’s native token.
"From day one, we've wanted MoonPay to be a platform that increases access and usability for the Web3 community and this partnership is another step in driving that vision,” Oliver Jeffcott, senior business development manager at MoonPay, said in a press release.
After raising $555 million in November 2021, MoonPay has been tapping into strategies to more efficiently facilitate crypto payments to help onboard users to Web3. In June, the company partnered with Mastercard to allow customers to purchase NFTs directly with a credit card.
