La ronda de recaudación de fondos fue liderada por Greenspring Associates y también incluyó a Coinfund, CoinShares, BlockFi, Uphold y Voyager Digital.
Blockdaemon simplifica el negocio de participar en prueba de participación (PoS), una alternativa a la minería de prueba de trabajo que consume mucha energía, que se logra apostando activos y teniendo participación en el juego cuando se trata de ejecutar un nodo y validar transacciones en una red.
Blockdaemon admite más de 40 redes PoS, incluyendo Polkadot, Cardano y Cosmos. Pero el evento principal será la transición completa de Ethereum a ETH 2.0 en el próximo año aproximadamente.
Cuando eso suceda, el staking en Ethereum se simplificará hasta el punto en que no será diferente a ganar intereses en una cuenta corriente, dijo el fundador y CEO de Blockdaemon, Konstantin Richter, en una entrevista reciente con CoinDesk.
“Los usuarios no tendrán que hacer nada”, dijo. “Si tienen ETHen una billetera, generará intereses automáticamente”.
