Il South China Morning Post (SCMP) ha pubblicato un white paper che descrive in dettaglio il suo nuovo standard di metadati per token non fungibili (NFT) denominato Artifact. Lo standard verrà utilizzato per coniare NFT storici, tra cui la collezione NFT inaugurale dello SCMP.

L'SCMP ha affermato che la struttura dei metadati di Artifact sarà basata sulla blockchain FLOW creata da Dapper Labs, i creatori del famoso video NFT NBA Top Shot.
Il white paper di Artifact delinea una proposta di struttura di governance nonché lo sviluppo di un mercato dedicato alla vendita di NFT storici.
L'SCMP, che è stato acquistato dal gigante tecnologico cinese Alibaba nel 2016, ha annunciato per la prima voltai suoi piani per sviluppare Artifacta luglio.
"Attraverso il nostro white paper Artifact, non vediamo l'ora di ispirare altri 'guardiani della storia' a condividere la nostra visione di rendere la storia più accessibile, connessa e collezionabile", ha affermato Gary Liu, CEO di SCMP, in una dichiarazione.
