Tether interromperà la coniazione della stablecoin USDT su Algorand ed EOS
L'offerta circolante della stablecoin legata al dollaro sulle due blockchain rappresenta solo circa lo 0,1% dell'offerta totale USDT .
Tether, l'emittente della più grande stablecoin al mondo, ha affermato che interromperà la coniazione del token USDT legato al dollaro sulle blockchain Algorand ed EOS come parte di una "transizione strategica per dare priorità al supporto blockchain guidato dalla comunità".
Il progetto mira a "trovare un equilibrio tra manutenibilità, utilizzo e interesse della comunità", ha affermato Tether lunedì in un post del blog.

A partire da lunedì, non verrà più coniato alcun nuovo USDT su Algorand ed EOS , anche se Tether continuerà a riscattare la stablecoin sulle due catene per i prossimi 12 mesi.
Secondo Tethersito web, ci sono circa 113 miliardi di USDT attualmente in circolazione, distribuiti su 16 diverse blockchain. La stragrande maggioranza di USDT, tuttavia, si trova su sole due catene: circa 59 miliardi di $ su TRON e 52 miliardi di $ su Ethereum.
Su Algorand ci sono solo 85 milioni di USDT, ovvero solo lo 0,08% dell'offerta totale; su EOS, solo 17 milioni di dollari, ovvero lo 0,015% dell'offerta totale.
