À propos Aster
Aster is a decentralised perpetual exchange that combines derivatives trading, spot markets, and yield tools into a single multi-chain platform. It was formed through the merger of two earlier projects: Astherus, focused on yield infrastructure, and APX Finance, which developed perpetual trading infrastructure. Aster currently supports networks including BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Solana.
The exchange offers two user modes: Simple Mode, designed for straightforward trading with anti-MEV execution, and Pro Mode, which provides advanced features such as a full order book, hidden orders, and additional trading tools. The platform also supports capital efficiency by allowing the use of yield-bearing assets (e.g., asBNB) and interest-accruing stablecoins (e.g., USDF) as trading collateral. Hidden orders are available to limit information exposure in public order books.
Protocol governance is token-based, and the platform is structured to accommodate both retail and advanced users.
ASTER is the native governance and utility token of the Aster protocol. Its primary functions include:
Governance: Token holders can vote on proposals related to protocol upgrades, emission schedules, and treasury management.
Incentives and rewards: ASTER is distributed to traders, liquidity providers, and participants through point-based systems and airdrops. An initial 704 million token airdrop took place at the token generation event (TGE) on 17 September 2025.
Capital efficiency mechanisms: ASTER may be used in conjunction with other assets as collateral within the trading system.
Potential fee discounts or feature access: Subject to future governance decisions, ASTER may enable access to lower fees or advanced trading features.
The ASTER token was introduced by the team behind the Aster protocol, following the merger of Astherus and APX Finance. The unified project launched ASTER to consolidate value and functionality across both initiatives.
The team is pseudonymous. Publicly known contributors include:
- Leonard – CEO, responsible for strategic development and public communication.
- Dust – Core contributor involved in coordination and rebranding efforts.
Aster is incubated by YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs, which provided early-stage support to the project.
