CoinVertible is a stablecoin initiative developed by Société Générale–FORGE (SG-FORGE), a regulated subsidiary of the Société Générale group. The project issues electronic money tokens (EMTs) — USD CoinVertible (USDCV) and EUR CoinVertible (EURCV) — each pegged 1:1 to their respective fiat currencies and backed by fully segregated reserves held at BNY Mellon (USD) and Société Générale (EUR).

The tokens are available on public blockchains including Ethereum (ERC-20) and Solana, and are designed to operate within both traditional financial systems and decentralised finance (DeFi) infrastructure. CoinVertible is fully compliant with the European Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), effective since July 2024.

SG-FORGE is licensed by the French ACPR as an Electronic Money Institution, authorised as an investment firm, and registered as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP/PSAN) with the AMF. The CoinVertible tokens are aimed at institutional use and financial infrastructure applications.
