About Spectral
Spectral (SPEC) is the native token of a decentralised AI agent platform, enabling users to launch, govern, and monetise autonomous agents onchain. SPEC supports agent creation, marketplace activity, staking rewards, and governance across Spectral Syntax and the planned Inferchain protocol.
Spectral (SPEC) is the governance and utility token of the Spectral Syntax platform, a decentralised system that enables users to build, deploy, and monetise onchain autonomous agents. These agents can perform complex tasks such as trading, protocol interaction, and workflow management across the Web3 ecosystem without requiring ongoing human intervention.
The ecosystem is built around three core components:
- Spectral Syntax: A natural-language co-pilot for creating AI agents onchain
- Lux Framework: An open-source toolkit for building multi-agent systems with modular, composable logic
- Inferchain (planned): A protocol layer that facilitates agent execution, communication, and decentralised ownership across chains
Agents on Spectral are not simple bots—they possess independent wallets, execute real transactions, and follow custom instruction sets defined by users. These agents can be launched by anyone and governed using token-based systems, with native integration into trading environments like Hyperliquid.
The SPEC token powers economic and governance activity across the Spectral ecosystem. Its main uses include:
*Agent Creation & Interaction* Agent Deployment: SPEC is used to launch autonomous agents via the Spectral Syntax platform.
Agent Engagement: Users pay SPEC (or SPEC-paired agent tokens like $agentcoin) to interact with agents—for example, in trading or governance scenarios.
Agent Ownership: Each agent can have tokenised ownership (ERC-20 shares), allowing fractional control and collective value accrual.
*Monetisation & Marketplace Activity* Creator Earnings: Developers who launch agents receive a share of revenue generated by their agents.
Marketplace Engagement: Agents can be browsed, used, and evaluated in a public Agent Marketplace. Creators can monetise their agent's usage directly via token-based models.
*Staking & Rewards* Staking Discounts: Users can stake SPEC to receive fee discounts when using the platform.
Staking Rewards: Launches of new agents emit rewards into a staking pool; swap fees also generate periodic SPEC rewards for stakers.
Creator Boosting: Agent creators can stake SPEC to unlock higher earnings from transactions completed by their agents.
*Governance* Platform Proposals: SPEC holders govern the Spectral platform and Syntax network, including fee policies, smart contract upgrades, ecosystem grants, and platform rules.
Hedge Fund Governance: SPEC (or delegated $SPECTR) is used to influence strategy decisions in Spectra’s Hedge Fund, a live, multi-agent trading operation led by an AI CEO agent.
Inferchain Participation (planned): Executioners who operate nodes in the future Inferchain system will stake SPEC and earn agent fees.
