About Cetus Protocol
Cetus Protocol is a decentralized exchange and concentrated liquidity platform built on the Sui and Aptos blockchains. It employs a Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker model to enhance capital efficiency and supports various trading strategies within a permissionless and composable framework. The native CETUS token facilitates governance, staking, liquidity incentives, and access to platform features, contributing to the ecosystem's growth and functionality.
Cetus Protocol is a decentralised exchange (DEX) and concentrated liquidity protocol operating on the Sui and Aptos blockchains. It uses a Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) model, enabling liquidity providers to allocate their assets within specific price ranges. This approach improves capital efficiency, allowing providers to maximise fee earnings while offering traders lower slippage during swaps.
The protocol supports advanced trading functionalities, including swaps, range orders, and limit orders, which are comparable to features found on centralised exchanges. Cetus Protocol is designed to be permissionless, allowing any user or developer to access its functionalities without restrictions. Developers can integrate its liquidity into new products using the Cetus Software Development Kit (SDK), enabling the creation of solutions like liquidity vaults, derivatives, and leveraged farming.
CETUS is the utility token of the Cetus Protocol and serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem:
- Governance: CETUS token holders can vote on proposals and participate in decisions affecting the protocol's development.
- Staking and Rewards: Users can stake CETUS tokens to earn rewards and unlock additional utilities within the ecosystem.
- Liquidity Incentives: CETUS tokens are used to reward liquidity providers, encouraging them to contribute assets to the protocol and maintain high liquidity levels.
- Platform Access: Holding CETUS may grant access to exclusive features and functionalities within the protocol.
- Fee Discounts: CETUS holders may benefit from reduced fees on trading and other activities within the platform.
