About Oraichain Token
Oraichain is a blockchain platform focused on enabling smart contracts to interact with AI APIs through a decentralised oracle mechanism. It allows validators to test and verify AI model outputs before they are recorded on-chain, improving reliability and transparency. The ORAI token supports core network functions, including transaction execution, staking, governance, and incentivisation. It ensures the operation of the AI oracle system by compensating validators, API providers, and test case creators for their participation. Oraichain was founded by Chung Dao and is developed by Oraichain Labs, with a roadmap oriented toward interoperability, scalability, and standardisation of AI-based smart contract infrastructure.
Oraichain is a Layer 1 blockchain platform designed to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into smart contracts through AI-powered oracles. Unlike traditional oracle networks that focus on simple external data feeds, Oraichain provides access to AI APIs, enabling smart contracts to request and process AI-generated results in a decentralised and verifiable manner.
The platform allows validators to test AI API responses using predefined test cases before recording results on-chain. This mechanism ensures the quality of AI services and supports use cases that require machine learning capabilities, such as face authentication, credit scoring, and NFT content verification.
Oraichain also includes a marketplace for AI APIs and test cases, tools for developers (e.g. CosmWasm IDE, OraichainEVM), and Layer 2 rollups for scaling. It is built using the Cosmos SDK and supports interoperability via IBC.
ORAI is the native utility token of the Oraichain network. It supports various operational functions within the platform, including:
- Transaction fees: ORAI is required to process AI API requests and execute transactions on the network.
- Staking: Validators and delegators stake ORAI to participate in the consensus process and earn rewards.
- Validator selection and rewards: Validators are chosen based on stake, and receive ORAI as compensation for validating transactions and executing oracle scripts.
- Governance: ORAI token holders can vote on protocol upgrades and parameter changes within the Oraichain DAO.
- Incentives: ORAI is distributed to validators, AI API providers, and test case creators based on network usage and participation.
