The Harambe (HARAMBE) token was developed by FeistyDAO, a decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO). The team behind the project includes individuals responsible for operations, artistic direction, social media management, and marketing, such as MuhPixels (Director of Operations), Lil’Dojo (Artistic Director), and Bowser02 (Head of Graphic). Jeff McCurry, the photographer of Harambe's iconic images, contributed to the project by minting the original Harambe photograph NFTs.
Although 'HARAMBE' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the HarambeToken's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'THEHARAMBE' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.
