About Red Pulse Phoenix
Red Pulse Phoenix (PHX) was introduced in August 2018 as the next evolution of the Red Pulse platform and its token ecosystem. PHX replaced the original RPX token in a 1:1 token swap. This upgrade aimed to revolutionise the platform's infrastructure by incorporating features such as improved regulatory compliance, intellectual property (IP) protection, and accountability directly into the token’s smart contract.
The PHX platform expanded the capabilities of the original Red Pulse ecosystem, creating a cloud-based knowledge network. By leveraging machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and blockchain technology, PHX enabled efficient connections between research consumers and content producers. This upgraded platform sought to refine the process of matching industry experts with organisations seeking high-quality market insights.
PHX served as the utility token for the Phoenix platform and retained core functionalities from its predecessor, RPX, while adding advanced features. Its primary use cases included:
Proof of Creation and Proof of Ownership: The PHX token integrated mechanisms to verify content ownership and creation, enhancing trust and accountability.
Content Incentivisation: PHX tokens were used to reward content producers for their research and insights on the platform.
Access to Insights and Customised Research: Consumers could use PHX to purchase premium content or request tailored research reports from industry experts.
Staking Rewards: PHX introduced staking capabilities, allowing users to earn additional PHX tokens by holding their tokens on the platform.
IP Protection: The token and smart contract design included built-in protections for intellectual property, ensuring fair use and safeguarding content creators' rights.
Ecosystem Growth: PHX tokens played a pivotal role in fostering a transparent and decentralised content economy, further developing the Red Pulse ecosystem.
PHX was developed by the same team behind Red Pulse Token (RPX), led by Jonathan Ha, Stanley Chao, and Peter Alexander under RP Technologies (Hong Kong) Limited. The transition from RPX to PHX reflected the team’s commitment to improving the platform’s infrastructure and functionality while addressing user feedback.
The upgraded token and platform were developed in collaboration with a range of advisors, including Hongfei Da, founder of NEO, and other blockchain and financial industry experts. This transition also involved community engagement through events such as the Phoenix Asia Tour, held in Seoul, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
PHX represented the first major migration within the Red Pulse ecosystem, setting the stage for further expansions and upgrades:
Migration from RPX to PHX: The 1:1 token swap occurred in August 2018, upgrading the token’s smart contract to include advanced features such as Proof of Creation, Proof of Ownership, and regulatory compliance.
Introduction of Binance Chain (PHB): Following its launch, PHX was later issued on Binance Chain as Red Pulse Phoenix Binance (PHB), allowing the ecosystem to operate on multiple blockchains.
Transition to Phoenix Global (PHB): In 2021, the project underwent a complete migration to Binance Smart Chain and rebranded as Phoenix Global (PHB), consolidating all previous tokens into a single, upgraded asset.
Token Staking: PHX introduced staking as a new feature, enabling token holders to earn rewards for participating in the ecosystem. Staking incentivised long-term token retention and added a passive income element to the platform.
Platform Enhancements: The PHX platform introduced a cloud-based knowledge network powered by blockchain, machine learning, and NLP, streamlining the matching of content producers with consumers.
Events and Community Engagement: The Phoenix Asia Tour in 2018 included events in Seoul, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, highlighting the platform's upgrades and engaging with the community.
Technical Features: The PHX smart contract introduced innovations such as regulatory compliance and IP protection, aiming to enhance transparency and security within the ecosystem.
