Brett is a three-time entrepreneur, former venture capitalist and longtime crypto enthusiast. Brett began investing in crypto assets in 2014 and, in recent years, has become a student of the emerging field of on-chain analytics. Prior to joining Onramp, Brett was Founder and Managing Director of Cognovio, a data-driven crypto fund using on-chain analytics to invest in bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, and Web 3 liquid tokens. Before launching Cognovio, Brett spent nearly eight years at Sway Ventures, investing hundreds of millions of dollars in over 70 early-stage technology startups. Brett graduated from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and was captain of the baseball team. He also holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, where his focus was on entrepreneurship and technology commercialization.
